Over the past year, COVID-19 has been a deadly presence in every single country in the world. One side effect of the pandemic has been a worrying decline in our fundraising abilities.
2021 is a year of new and unforeseen challenges, and our Sacred Heart Family is working even harder to do more with less.
Any support you can give is truly invaluable to our missionaries.
This year more than ever we need to bring hope to communities around the world that need it the most.
- “In the face of such damage, it is hard to know how to help and what to do,”writes Sr Ruth S. Yburan FDNSC, Regional Leader of the Daughters of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart in the Philippines
- The Holy Family facility provides invaluable care to young children who are seriously ill, and who, in the majority of cases, have been orphaned or abandoned.
- Some of the pupils bring their own chairs from their homes. However, many of these children are from homes that have so little, they don’t even have a chair to bring to school.
UNITED IN FAITH AND HOPE,
TRANSFORMING LIVES TOGETHER.
Below, you will find some of the projects that currently need our immediate attention in 2021, and we would be more than grateful if you would consider lending your support.
You can choose to donate to a specific programme that may be close to your heart, or you can leave it to us to send your donation to the projects that need it most.
Thank you from Fr Michael
Our missionaries are accustomed to difficult challenges, facing the stark realities of hunger, illness, and hardship on a daily basis.
However, the past year, with the sudden onset of COVID-19,has made our work more perilous and taxing than ever before.
Your friendship is endlessly encouraging to our Sacred Heart Family.
If you can, please help us to continue our work in 2021 by supporting this year’s World Projects Appeal.
May God bless you for your kindness, now and always.
Fr Michael O’Connell MSC,
Director of the MSC Missions Office.
